Liability Waiver & Release of Liability
Selva Soul Retreats

By participating in a Selva Soul Retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Liability Waiver and Release of Liability. This document works together with the Selva Soul Retreats Terms & Conditions and Medical Waiver & Health Declaration, which you have also reviewed and signed. Together, these three documents form your complete agreement with Selva Soul Retreats.

1. Voluntary Participation
Participation in a Selva Soul Retreat is voluntary. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
• Yoga classes, Biodanza, and somatic movement
• Meditation and breathwork
• Wellness workshops and ceremonies, including cacao ceremony
• Cold plunge and open-water swimming
• Ziplining and volcano excursions, including night hikes
• Hiking, walking tours, and nature excursions on uneven terrain
• Transportation to and from retreat activities
• Other physical or recreational activities
Participation in these activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated. By attending a Selva Soul Retreat, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

2. Assumption of Risk
You understand and acknowledge that travel and retreat activities may involve risks including but not limited to:
• Physical injury, illness, or death
• Allergic reactions
• Accidents during excursions or transportation
• Environmental hazards, including volcanic terrain and open water
• Wildlife encounters
• Weather conditions
• Unfamiliar terrain
By participating in retreat activities, you knowingly and freely assume these risks.

3. Medical Responsibility
Participants are responsible for their own physical and mental health. By attending a Selva Soul Retreat, you acknowledge that:
• You are physically and mentally capable of participating in retreat activities
• You have consulted a medical professional if necessary prior to participation
• You will disclose any relevant health conditions that may affect your participation
• You will bring any required medications or medical supplies
Selva Soul Retreats does not provide medical services or supervision. All medical expenses incurred during or after the retreat are the sole responsibility of the participant. Additional detail on medical disclosure and emergency authorization is provided in the separate Medical Waiver & Health Declaration.

4. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Selva Soul Retreats and its owners, founders, facilitators, contractors, staff, partners, retreat venues, and affiliates from any liability for:
• Personal injury, illness, or death
• Property damage
• Financial loss
• Travel disruptions
• Accidents occurring during retreat activities
This release applies to incidents that occur before, during, or after the retreat, and is binding to the fullest extent permitted by law. This release does not apply to damages caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Selva Soul Retreats or its owners, founders, facilitators, contractors, staff, partners, or affiliates.

5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Selva Soul Retreats and its owners, founders, facilitators, contractors, staff, partners, retreat venues, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your participation in the retreat, including claims brought on your behalf by a family member, estate, or other representative.

6. Responsibility for Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for safeguarding their own personal belongings. Selva Soul Retreats is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property during the retreat.

7. Third-Party Providers
Retreat activities may involve services provided by third-party vendors such as:
• Transportation companies
• Tour guides and activity operators
• Retreat centers and venues
• Restaurants and food providers
Selva Soul Retreats is not responsible for the actions, services, or safety practices of these third-party providers. You may be required to sign additional waivers provided directly by these vendors on-site.

8. Photography & Media Release
During retreats, Selva Soul Retreats may capture photographs or video for promotional and marketing purposes. By participating in the retreat, you grant Selva Soul Retreats permission to use photographs or video that may include your likeness for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes. Participants who prefer not to be photographed must notify Selva Soul Retreats in writing prior to the retreat.

9. Minimum Age
Participants must be 18 years of age or older to sign this waiver, consistent with the minimum age requirement in the Selva Soul Retreats Terms & Conditions. Any exception requires written approval from Selva Soul Retreats and consent from a parent or legal guardian in advance.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This waiver is governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from this agreement will first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved through mediation or arbitration prior to litigation.

11. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. This Liability Waiver, together with the Terms & Conditions and Medical Waiver & Health Declaration, represents the entire agreement between Selva Soul Retreats and the participant regarding retreat participation.

12. Electronic Signature Consent
If this waiver is completed and signed electronically, you consent to conducting this transaction electronically and agree that your electronic signature is legally binding and has the same effect as a handwritten signature.

13. Agreement & Signature
By signing below, you acknowledge that:
• You have read this Liability Waiver in full
• You understand the risks associated with retreat participation
• You voluntarily accept these risks
• You release Selva Soul Retreats from liability as outlined above
This agreement is binding upon the participant and their heirs, representatives, and assigns.
